Today is Nakba

Today is the mock celebration of Nakba. It is a day that remembers the creation of the state of Israel. Yawm an-Nakbah means "day of the catastrophe." It is difficult for me to share what this means, especially for the Palestinian population, so I have provided some pictures.

There are many of these posted on the wall

This is at a refugee camp in Bethlehem. When there homes were
taken or destroyed, many only were able to take their keys.
The key has become a symbol of remembrance and resistance.
